Dopl Raises $6.3M Seed for Remote Robotic Ultrasound

Dopl Technologies, a Bothell, Washington company developing a robotic ultrasound platform, has closed a $6.3 million seed round. SpringTide Ventures led the financing, which was announced on July 27, 2026, and lifts Dopl’s total funding above $8 million.

The company builds a medical device system aimed at delivering ultrasound scans remotely, with an eye toward reaching patients in rural areas. Its lineup includes Traverse, a remote robotic ultrasound system; Dopl Connect, a secure connectivity and data platform; and SonoFlex, a tool for managing a distributed clinical workforce and its workflows.

Dopl designed the platform to work with off the shelf robots, ultrasound machines, haptic controllers and cameras, so hospitals can add it to equipment they already run. The company was founded in 2022 by a former NVIDIA medical AI engineer alongside practicing cardiologists and radiologists, with a wider team drawn from Butterfly Network, Philips, Microsoft and Amazon.

WRF Capital, Tacoma Venture Fund, HeartX, Transform Health Ventures and Precursor Ventures also joined the round. Dopl plans to use the money for product verification and validation, its FDA submission and clearance work, clinical evaluation and an initial market release.
