BoreDM, a cloud software company based in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced a Series A growth investment from Five Elms Capital. The deal was announced on June 1, 2026.

The company provides cloud-based software for borehole logging, geotechnical data management, and subsurface reporting. It was founded in 2022 by Louis Aaron, who ran into data management headaches while working at The Boring Company. BoreDM set out to replace legacy desktop tools with a modern, collaborative, AI-assisted platform that handles borehole logging, lab testing, CPT data processing, PDF digitization, and subsurface reporting.

Five Elms Capital brings experience scaling vertical software businesses and will back BoreDM as it continues to grow across the geotechnical industry.

The investment is earmarked for a sizable expansion of BoreDM’s product capabilities. That includes intelligent log digitization, automated data processing across geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing workflows, and AI-assisted field tools, all paired with focused go-to-market growth.

The platform currently serves more than 40 geotechnical firms and over 20 state Departments of Transportation across North America and Australia.
