RockRose Risk has raised $12.5 million in Series A funding. Crosslink Capital and Congruent Ventures co led the round, and Nuveen Real Estate also took part.

The company operates as an insurance brokerage that hands property owners discounts in exchange for wildfire mitigation work. With this money it intends to become a vertically integrated risk manager, pulling autonomous property analysis, mitigation services and insurance into one platform so owners can cut both their wildfire exposure and their premiums.

Part of that plan involves buying businesses outright. RockRose expects to acquire complementary operators, tree trimming and roofing companies among them, so a property owner can assess risk, get the work done and bind coverage through a single partner.

RockRose was founded in Napa in 2024 and now runs from San Francisco. Its customer base covers commercial property owners such as homeowner associations and hotel groups, plus individual homeowners across California, Colorado and Nevada.
