Bee Charged EV, based in Beverly Hills, California, has announced $7 million in funding, including about $3.2 million in charging equipment, to expand its commercial mobile EV fleet charging across the United States. The company delivers charging directly to electric vehicles at their location, with scheduled support for commercial fleets and on-demand help for individual drivers.

Founded by Antony Okuribido, Bee Charged EV currently operates in several U.S. markets, including Miami, Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco, and says it is also working on battery-swapping technology for commercial trucking through a technology collaboration.

The funding will go toward deploying more mobile charging units, expanding operational capacity and increasing service availability for fleet customers and drivers.
