Worldmodeldata, a Cambridge company building large-scale AI training datasets from video game environments, has come out of stealth with £7 million in a seed round led by Iona Star Capital.

Led by chief executive Rhea Loucas, Worldmodeldata aggregates and structures licensed gameplay data from titles built on engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity, turning it into action-conditioned datasets for developers of robotics, autonomous systems and frontier AI models. The company closed the round last December and waited seven months to announce it.

The funding will support product development, team growth and data-sourcing agreements as the company works toward a library of one million hours of gameplay data by the end of 2026.
