Highstock has raised a $30 million Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz to grow its AI-driven B2B marketplace, which lets consumer brands sell surplus inventory to vetted wholesale buyers instead of pushing it through conventional liquidation channels. The round was reported on September 11, 2026.
The company is based in New York, New York. With the investment, a16z partner Olivia Moore joins Highstock’s board, and Jeff Jordan, a former a16z general partner known for marketplace investing, comes on as an advisor.
Highstock is going after a familiar headache for consumer brands: the goods left over after demand forecasts and production runs fail to line up. That stock often sits in warehouses, gets written off, moves through discount channels, or is destroyed, which erodes both inventory value and brand positioning.
The platform uses AI to match available inventory with suitable buyers while giving brands more say over how surplus merchandise reaches the market. Highstock handles buyer matching, logistics, compliance, payments, and order paperwork, so brands can move excess product quietly and wholesale buyers gain access to inventory they might not otherwise be able to source.
In a little over a year of operation, Highstock has listed more than $1 billion of inventory and works with more than 100 major brands. About 60 percent of transaction volume comes from brands and conglomerates with over $500 million in annual revenue. The buyer side includes more than 100 businesses, among them live sellers and international e-commerce companies. The company says its marketplace has kept more than 10 million pounds of products out of landfills.
CEO Camille van Horne and CTO Sean Cashin, both former Instacart executives, lead the company. Van Horne spent six years as a director of product management at Instacart, working on its end-to-end fulfillment experience.
Highstock started in beauty and personal care, is now expanding into apparel, and plans to add more consumer product categories over time.
