Hermetiq Raises $2.2M to Automate Software Build Diagnostics

Hermetiq has raised $2.2 million in a seed round led by Jet Investment, which put in $750,000, roughly CZK 15.5 million, making it the single largest backer in the round.

The company is based in San Francisco and builds an AI platform that diagnoses and resolves software build errors automatically. Its lead investor is based in Central Europe rather than California.

The problem it addresses is a quiet drain on engineering time. When a build fails, the work of tracing the cause falls to a specialised group of engineers who are already in short supply, and the rest of the development team waits while that happens. Automating the diagnosis removes a bottleneck that most organisations simply absorb as a cost of doing business.

The investor list is notably operator heavy. It includes Niranjan Tulpule, Google’s vice president for developer AI, Jason Calacanis through his LAUNCH accelerator, and Gokul Rajaram, who sits on the boards of Pinterest, Coinbase and The Trade Desk.

Agencies and vendors that sell into newly funded software companies can reach engineering and executive buyers while a round is still fresh.
