Handspring Health, based in Newark, New Jersey, has raised $19 million in a Series B round to expand its mental health care model for children and families across the country. RPS Ventures led the financing, with participation from Angelini Ventures, Cobalt Ventures, NextView Ventures, nvp capital, Hyde Park Angels and Cornucopian Capital, bringing total funding to $37 million since 2022.
Handspring treats the full range of acuity so children are matched to the level of care they actually need rather than defaulting to the most intensive and expensive option. The company says it has treated more than 4,000 families, grown revenue more than tenfold over two years and expanded across nine states, with partnerships among major healthcare payers.
The funding will help Handspring grow its clinician workforce, strengthen clinical development, deepen its complex care program, extend geographic coverage and improve its care platform.
