Nura Bio, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company in South San Francisco, California, has completed a $73.8 million Series B financing. The round, which closed on June 22, 2026, was led by The Column Group, with participation from Euclidean Capital, Samsara BioCapital, and Sanofi Ventures.

The company develops neuroprotective small molecule therapies. Its funding will advance a clinical pipeline built around SARM1 inhibitors, including a Phase 1b/2a study of NB-4746, an oral, brain-penetrant SARM1 inhibitor that recently began dosing in patients with ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Nura has also started dosing NB-9402, an oral, covalent, allosteric SARM1 inhibitor, in a first-in-human study. The company says NB-4746 has been shown to prevent axon degeneration driven by the SARM1 protein, providing neuroprotection across multiple preclinical models of nerve injury and disease, including ALS.

The financing reflects continued investor interest in novel biological targets for neurodegenerative disease, an area where effective treatments remain scarce.
