Humigent, an AI native company based in Iselin, New Jersey, has closed its Series A round to build intelligence tools for the life sciences sector. The company announced the raise on July 29, 2026, with backing from Z21 Ventures and First Rays Ventures.

The business has built an AI platform aimed specifically at life sciences. At its center sits HumigentLM, a proprietary language model with 30 billion parameters trained for pharmaceutical and biotechnology work. The model connects with specialized AI agents, domain specific knowledge models and workflow orchestration tools.

Humigent was founded by Ram Sharma, who serves as chief executive. He previously founded and led Analytical Wizards, a life sciences analytics company that Definitive Healthcare acquired in 2022.

With the new funding, Humigent plans to speed up product development, widen its lineup of agentic solutions and expand its AI deployments across life sciences organizations.
