Gimlet Labs has raised $300 million in Series B funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, valuing the company at $3 billion and taking total funding to $392 million. Sapphire Ventures joined as a major investor, along with new backers M12 and Arm and previous investors Menlo Ventures and Factory.

The company is based in San Francisco, and it is building what it calls the industry’s first multi-silicon inference cloud for agentic AI.

The idea is to run AI workloads across several types of processors instead of committing to one hardware architecture. That is a direct response to how constrained and expensive single-vendor inference capacity has become, and it explains why Arm shows up on the cap table.

The founding team has done this before. Chief executive Zain Asgar built Gimlet with Michelle Nguyen, Omid Azizi and Natalie Serrino, the same group behind Pixie Labs, the Kubernetes observability company acquired by New Relic in 2020.

Agentic workloads make the timing sharper. Agents generate far more inference calls than a single chat request does, so the cost per token starts to shape what a product can afford to do.

Gimlet joins a set of AI infrastructure companies raising at multi-billion valuations before most enterprises have settled on a hardware strategy.
