Digs has raised $25.3 million in Series A funding led by Builders FirstSource, and the money arrives attached to a five year commercial agreement rather than a standard investor relationship.

The company builds AI software for residential construction from Vancouver. The city sits on the southern edge of Washington state, across the river from Portland. Under the agreement, Builders FirstSource will fold the Digs platform into its own digital ecosystem, putting the tools in front of its 140,000 builder clients.

What the technology covers is unusually wide for a construction product. It runs from pre construction estimates and blueprint collaboration all the way through to home maintenance and warranty care after the owner has moved in.

Digs was founded in 2022 by Ryan Fink and Ty Frackiewicz. The two previously worked together on the augmented reality startup ONtheGo Platforms, acquired in 2015. Fink went on to found the home service AR company Streem, which Frontdoor bought in 2019, while Frackiewicz came from construction engineering and luxury homebuilding.

This round takes total funding past $47 million and follows a $5 million pre Series A in late 2025. Earlier backers include the regional firms Fuse, Flying Fish, Oregon Venture Fund and Cascade Seed Fund.

The business charges builders on a SaaS model and has thousands of homes on the platform across all 50 states. In practice, the product swaps static PDF blueprints and misplaced paperwork for an AI hub that tracks a property’s history, its materials and its warranty details.

Headcount is set to grow quickly. Digs currently employs 37 people, and Fink expects that to more than double past 60 by the end of the year, weighted toward engineering, design and product with some hiring in sales and marketing.

The partner brings considerable weight. Builders FirstSource, headquartered in Irving, Texas, is the largest supplier of building materials and prefabricated components for residential construction in the country. The Fortune 500 company runs roughly 565 locations across 43 states and supplies structural building products, trusses and millwork to professional homebuilders in 91 of the top 100 U.S. metropolitan markets.
