Augustus, a fintech company based in San Francisco, California, has raised a $180 million Series B that values the business at $1 billion. Tiger Global led the round, which the company announced on July 21, 2026.

Hummingbird and QED Investors also joined, along with individual backers connected to Nubank, Ramp, Circle, and Deel. The financing brings Augustus’s total funding to $210 million.

Augustus describes its business as a Global Dollar Bank, giving financial institutions direct access to US dollar accounts and payment rails through a federally chartered structure. The round follows conditional approval the company received in May 2026 from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for a US national bank charter.

With the new capital, Augustus plans to expand its dollar banking platform for international fintechs and banks that need access to the US dollar.
