Aina Raises $5.5M Seed for AI Agent Hardware

Aina, an AI native consumer hardware startup with offices in San Francisco, California and Bengaluru, India, has raised $5.5 million in a Seed round led by Redstart Labs and 360 ONE Asset.

MIXI Global Investments, Antler and Blume Founders Fund joined the round, along with angel investors Kunal Shah, Tikhon Bernstam, Harshil Mathur, Shashank Kumar and Vaibhav Domkundwar.

Chief executive Apoorv Shankar, previously vice president of hardware at Ultrahuman, founded the company. Incorporated in 2025, it has spent recent months operating as a human computer interaction lab under the name Project Mirage.

Aina builds physical, action oriented hardware interfaces for controlling AI agents and automating digital workflows. Its first product, Dune, is a compact three key context aware keypad that detects which app is in use and changes what its three buttons do accordingly.

The money will bring the company’s flagship interface, developed in stealth, to market and grow the team across the San Francisco and Bangalore offices.
