GammaTime, a microdrama streaming company based in Santa Monica, California, has closed a Series A funding round. As part of the deal, Versant Media Group took a minority stake in the company. The round was reported in early June 2026.

Financial terms were not disclosed. The new capital will help GammaTime continue developing a premium originals slate, drawing on Versant’s showrunners and entertainment IP.

The Series A comes about eight months after GammaTime raised $14 million in a seed round backed by venture firms vgames and Pitango, along with Alexis Ohanian, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Traverse Ventures.

The company is led by founder and CEO Bill Block, a former top executive at Miramax. GammaTime was also co-founded by former Google Gaming executive Slava Mudrykh, who serves as chief revenue officer, and former Discovery executive Alex Montalvo.
