Transcripta Bio, a biotech company headquartered in Palo Alto, California, has announced $24 million in funding to push its AI-driven drug discovery programs closer to human testing. The company shared the news on July 22, 2026, and said the money will support IND-enabling studies across its portfolio, along with clinical preparation for its programs in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy.

Mayo Clinic and Omnimed took part in the round, joining existing backers JAZZ Venture Partners, BlueYard Capital, and a group of life sciences family offices as the company works toward its first human trials.

Transcripta is advancing four programs that target Myotonic Dystrophy, Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Huntington’s Disease. The pipeline reflects the company’s focus on neurological and neuromuscular conditions that have long been difficult to treat.

At the center of the work sits a closed-loop discovery engine built around transcriptomic signature matching. The method searches for drug candidates whose molecular signatures are the inverse of the disease signatures found in patients, an approach the team believes gives it a faster and more capital-efficient path to the clinic.

Founded in 2023, Transcripta employs about fifteen people. The latest funding follows the $10 million Series A it closed in April 2024, and lifts its total disclosed funding to roughly $34 million.
