Sazabi, a San Francisco, California company building an AI native observability platform for fast-moving engineering teams, has raised $8 million in a Seed round. The financing, announced on June 25, 2026, was led by J2 Ventures, Village Global, and Y Combinator.

The round also drew Orange Collective and more than 60 angel investors from leading AI companies, including people from Vercel, Cursor, LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub, Replit, and Browserbase.

Sazabi is building observability for an era in which teams ship faster, production systems change constantly, and traditional dashboards, brittle instrumentation, noisy alerts, and manual incident response struggle to keep up. Its approach treats log data as the single source of truth for understanding production systems, rather than splitting work across logs, metrics, and traces.

Early traction has been quick. In closed alpha, the company onboarded 50 teams in two weeks, ran 8,000 background investigations, detected 2,000 issues, and opened 200 pull requests against customer code repositories.

Sazabi was founded by Sherwood Callaway, a two-time Y Combinator founder and software engineer with more than a decade building infrastructure and observability systems at high-growth companies including Brex and Crunchbase. The funding will go toward expanding the engineering team, accelerating product development, and deepening integrations across cloud and developer platforms.
