Layup Parts, a manufacturing startup based in Huntington Beach, California, has raised $42 million in a Series A round. The company is working to simplify how carbon-fiber and fiberglass components get made through software-driven manufacturing. The round closed on June 2, 2026.

Marlinspike led the financing, with Cerberus Ventures, Pinegrove Venture Partners, Founders Fund, and Lux Capital all joining in. The raise follows a $9 million seed round that came shortly after founder Zack Eakin started the company in 2024.

Eakin, a former Anduril engineer, built Layup Parts around software-driven manufacturing that can cut composite part production timelines from weeks down to hours in some cases. The company currently employs around 60 people.

Aerospace and defense customers make up the largest part of its business, though Layup Parts also serves customers across motorsports, automotive design, and consumer products.

Much of the new capital will go toward hiring and facility expansion, letting Layup Parts bring on more employees and move into a larger facility later in 2026.
