Lanyon AI came out of stealth on August 17, 2026 with a $10.6 million Seed round behind it. Dimension led the financing and Industrious Ventures took part.
The company describes itself as a fundamental research lab building a new kind of scientific and technical AI. What separates it from the general purpose model builders is the correctness requirement. Lanyon is developing systems whose outputs come with mathematical proofs that they are right.
That constraint points the company at a specific set of problems: physics, engineering, GPU kernel optimization, frontier AI inference and other mission critical work where an approximately correct answer is not useful. Precision is the product.
The team is made up of Princeton mathematicians and physicists, and the company operates from Princeton. Working in New Jersey keeps it beside the university its researchers came from.
