Diameter Pay has raised $10 million in a Series A co-led by CMT Digital and Lightspeed Faction. SixThirty Ventures, Stellar Development Foundation, Tech Council Ventures, Onigiri Capital and BitRock Capital all joined the round, which the company announced on September 3, 2026.
The company runs out of Jersey City, New Jersey, and it builds the plumbing for U.S. dollar payments and virtual accounts outside the United States.
Its customers are banks, fintech companies and digital asset exchanges, which reach dollar accounts and payment rails through a single API. The platform covers virtual accounts, domestic and international payments, stablecoin on-ramps and off-ramps, and embedded compliance controls spread across several U.S. banking partners. Volume so far this year is above $10 billion.
There is a reason that access matters. The dollar still sits underneath global trade, but getting to it has become harder in many markets. Correspondent banks have withdrawn from entire regions as sanctions and anti-money laundering exposure grew, and the result is a system where legitimate businesses get shut out alongside the bad actors the rules were written for.
Stablecoins add pressure rather than relieve it. Dollar value can now move across borders around the clock, yet institutions still need regulated, dependable connections between digital dollars and the U.S. banking system, not least to fight financial crime. Diameter Pay sells itself as that connective tissue, handing banks the technology, data and compliance infrastructure to price digital risk more precisely.
The money goes toward widening its banking and payment capabilities, deepening its stablecoin and foreign exchange infrastructure, and continuing to invest in the technology and compliance work required to move dollars across borders safely.
Behind the product is a team drawn from banking, payments, technology and regulatory backgrounds, including former senior executives and founders from Deutsche Bank, Fidelity Investments, Segovia Technology, Reserve Trust and the World Bank.
