Pairidex, a St. Louis cancer diagnostics company, has closed an oversubscribed $4.89 million seed round. The company did not name its lead investor but described it as a large, publicly held strategic company.
Pairidex plans to use the money to speed up commercialization of FusionMRD, an RNA based droplet digital PCR blood test that monitors minimal residual disease in gene fusion driven blood cancers. The funding will also support further clinical studies, commercial growth, laboratory operations and continued work on the company’s personalized molecular diagnostics platform.
The test is patient specific and lab developed, with an initial focus on acute myeloid leukemia. It is already available through the company’s CLIA certified and CAP accredited laboratory.
