AquaPoro Raises $5M Seed to Generate Water From Air

AquaPoro Technologies, a deep tech company in California developing a new class of industrial water infrastructure, has closed a $5 million Seed round. The financing, announced on June 24, 2026, was led by Breakout Ventures, with participation from Cerberus Ventures, Humba Ventures, and One Small Planet.
The company builds systems designed to generate clean water from ambient air. Its proprietary technology, called Atmospheric Low-humidity Moisture Adsorption, or ALMA, is designed to pull clean water from the air at lower energy and cost across a range of temperature and humidity conditions.
Proceeds from the round will accelerate manufacturing scale-up and the deployment of AquaPoro’s first commercial pilot installations. The company is set to break ground on what it describes as the world’s first continuous-flow atmospheric water harvesting system at UC Riverside, in partnership with the College of Engineering’s Center for Environmental Research and Technology.
The raise reflects growing investor interest in new water infrastructure, particularly approaches that could add fresh supply in regions facing scarcity.
