MainFunc, the company behind the agentic AI tool Genspark, has raised $100 million in a Series B extension at a $2.6 billion valuation. The company is based in Palo Alto, California.
The round drew investors including Sozo Ventures, UpHonest Capital and South Korea’s Mirae Asset. The $2.6 billion valuation places MainFunc among the more richly valued companies in the fast-moving agentic AI space, where tools are designed not just to answer questions but to carry out multi-step tasks on a user’s behalf.
MainFunc’s product, Genspark, is built as an agentic AI tool for the workplace. The category has drawn intense investor interest as companies look for software that can take real action inside their workflows rather than simply generating text. A valuation at this level signals confidence that MainFunc can carve out a meaningful position as that market develops.
The fact that this is a Series B extension is worth noting. Extensions often indicate that a company is building on an earlier round, sometimes to capitalize on strong momentum or to bring in new strategic partners. The participation of Mirae Asset, a major South Korean financial group, also points to international interest in MainFunc’s technology and a potential path into markets beyond the United States.
Agentic AI remains an early and crowded field, with many companies racing to prove that their agents can be trusted with consequential work. MainFunc’s large raise gives it substantial resources to compete, though the high valuation also raises expectations. The months ahead will test whether Genspark can convert investor enthusiasm into broad, durable adoption inside the workplaces it is built to serve.
