Mindgard has closed a $30 million Series A financing led by Album VC, with Karma Ventures joining and existing backers .406 Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, IQ Capital and Lakestar all participating again. The company, which keeps offices in Boston and London, plans to spend the money scaling product, engineering, sales and marketing to keep pace with customer demand.

Mindgard works in AI security, pairing research with offensive security practice to assess and protect AI systems against adversaries. It grew out of more than a decade of work at Lancaster University in the UK, home to what the company calls the world’s largest AI security lab. Its platform is built to capture and exploit what Mindgard describes as the psycho technical attack surface now appearing inside AI models, agents and applications.

The track record is where the company draws its credibility. Mindgard’s platform has been used to uncover and publicly disclose more than 150 high impact security and safety vulnerabilities across widely used AI products. Among them: a zero day code execution vulnerability in Cursor IDE, a trusted workspace flaw in Google Antigravity, and image generation guardrail failures in ChatGPT. Each finding feeds a proprietary knowledge base that in turn sharpens the Mindgard AI Security Platform, giving security teams offensive and defensive capabilities that keep changing as the threat picture does.

The round follows a stretch of accelerated deployment inside a large number of Fortune 2000 companies and AI innovators spanning financial services, pharmaceuticals, gaming, digital services, semiconductors and healthcare. As organizations push AI into production systems, more of them are turning to Mindgard to discover, assess and defend against the resulting risk.

The Mindgard Security Platform handles Shadow AI discovery, AI red teaming and run time AI protection across models, agents and applications.
