RevEng.AI, a London cybersecurity company focused on binary-native software verification, has raised $15 million in a Series A round. The NATO Innovation Fund led the financing, with participation from Sands Capital, In-Q-Tel, IQ Capital, and Episode One.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its AI-powered binary analysis platform and tighten software supply chain integrity by detecting hidden threats, malicious functionality, and vulnerabilities inside compiled software. Founded in 2023, RevEng.AI helps enterprises and defense organizations analyze compiled software, including closed-source and third-party artifacts, so they can understand what is actually inside the software they ship, buy, and run.

Its foundational AI model, called BinNet, works directly on released software binaries to surface novel cyber threats in live environments. Unlike many alternatives, the platform does not need access to source code to analyze executables, firmware, and third-party software and figure out what they contain.

The company is led by chief executive James Patrick-Evans and is building a binary-native verification layer aimed at software supply chain integrity.
