Parsec Education Secures $8 Million in Series A Funding to Transform K-12 Education Through Innovative Data Solutions
Parsec Education, a Fresno-based K-12 data analytics company, has secured $8 million in Series A funding. This investment, co-led by Saint Louis-based Cultivation Capital and San Diego-based Blueprint Equity, marks a significant milestone for the company, enabling it to expand its mission to transform K-12 education and student outcomes through innovative data solutions.
The funding round is a testament to Parsec Education’s rapid growth and success since its founding in 2018 by Eugene Park, a former data analyst at Madera Unified School District. Park and his wife, Victoria, made a bold decision to sell their home and invest everything into launching Parsec Education, driven by their vision to help schools better understand and act on their data.
Under the leadership of CEO Babatunde Ilori, Parsec Education has achieved an impressive 256% year-over-year revenue growth. The company’s platform and services bridge the gap between quantitative and qualitative data, empowering schools to interpret both what is happening and why. This unique approach has positioned Parsec Education as a leader in K-12 data analytics solutions.
The investment from Cultivation Capital and Blueprint Equity will support product innovation, expand customer success teams, and scale the company’s reach. This will enable Parsec Education to deliver even greater value to its school partners and continue making a meaningful difference for students.
Cliff Holekamp, Co-founder and Managing Director of Cultivation Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that he first met Babatunde Ilori when he was his student at Washington University in St. Louis. Holekamp highlighted Ilori’s direct understanding of the challenges school leaders face, particularly with siloed data and the difficulty of capturing high-quality qualitative insights at scale. “Parsec Education is uniquely positioned to solve these problems, and we’re excited to help them grow,” Holekamp stated.
Bobby Ocampo, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Blueprint Equity, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the company’s deep understanding of educational data challenges and its clear vision for innovation. The funding will accelerate Parsec Education’s mission to empower schools with better tools to improve student outcomes.
Eugene Park, Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Parsec Education, reflected on the company’s journey, stating, “We built Parsec Education because we knew schools needed better ways to understand and act on their data. This funding allows us to expand that vision, scale our solutions, and continue making a meaningful difference for students.”
The partnership with Cultivation Capital and Blueprint Equity is a pivotal moment for Parsec Education, reflecting the hard work of its team and its deep commitment to empowering schools with innovative data solutions. With this investment, Parsec Education is poised to continue its growth and make a lasting impact on K-12 education and student outcomes.
The company aims to use the funding to advance its AI-powered capabilities, drive more meaningful outcomes, and expand its engineering, customer success, and data analytics teams. This will enable Parsec Education to deliver even greater value to its school partners and continue its mission to improve and transform K-12 education and student outcomes through modernizing, evaluating, improving, and standardizing the way schools view, interpret, and respond to data.
