DASH Dog Food has closed an oversubscribed $1.5 million Seed round led by Voltage Ventures. Western Technology Investment participated, along with individual investors from direct-to-consumer protein, cold-chain logistics and retail. Voltage general partner Marissa Bertorelli and ButcherBox founder and CEO Mike Salguero are joining the DASH board.

DASH operates out of Boston, among other locations. It is a premium fresh-frozen dog food brand. Founder Bobby Quirk is a former ButcherBox executive.

DASH makes small-batch recipes with humanely raised, grass-fed beef, organic chicken and other carefully sourced ingredients. Every recipe includes pre- and postbiotics, with no added antibiotics or hormones, and each batch is sous vide-cooked at 165 degrees to preserve nutrition. Customers buy through a direct-to-consumer subscription with custom meal plans based on a dog’s size, age and dietary needs.

The company says revenue has grown 130% since it separated from ButcherBox in June 2025. After a formal rebrand in June of this year, it dropped its dry food line to focus fully on fresh-frozen.

The Massachusetts brand will use the money to expand paid acquisition, scale its subscription growth model and fund research and development for new formulas. This season it plans to roll out redesigned packaging and add seafood and turkey to a lineup that has offered only beef and chicken since launch. About 10% of the round is set aside for R&D.

Co-packers, cold-chain logistics providers and DTC marketing agencies can get verified founder contacts at newly funded consumer brands every week through the B2B Sales Leads List.
